Have a love for the written word? Then a new partnership between pr/marketing firm FOR THE PEOPLE PRODUCTIONS (www.forthepeopleproductions.com) and the Medgar Evers Library in Jackson, Mississippi will bring you as close as you can get with the authors of some of your favorite books. Introducing the Conversations Bookclub: the newest way for readers to connect with books and the authors behind them.
The bookclub which debuts on Friday, December 29, 2006 will meet every 2nd and 4th Friday at the Medgar Evers Library (Jackson, MS) beginning at 6p.m. The first meeting of each month will be an introduction to the author and their work, and the second meeting will include an exclusive interview with the author either in person or via conference call. Those present will get the opportunity to not only interact with the author but ask questions as well.
The Conversations Book Club wishes to partner with other established book clubs in bringing a new flavor to reading and book discussions. There will be a mailing list for interested parties to stay in touch with the organizers and for valuable information to be shared. Admission to the Bookclub is free, however, there will be occasional "ticketed" events outside the library where a fee will be charged.
