Financial Coach Shay Olivarria's Visit To MS: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, Financial Literacy Coach and author Shay Olivarria made her stop in Mississippi to talk about the importance of minding your money---and Conversations Book Club was there to support her.

"Shay and I met each other online," says Cyrus Webb, President of Conversations Book Club. "The work she is doing is amazing, and I was glad that she let us be a part of her tour when she visited the Magnolia State."

As the author of two books geared towards helping individuals make the most of their finances, Shay has been traveling across the country talking with anyone and everyone about steps they can begin taking now. Her first stop in Mississippi was at the Pearl Public Library in Pearl, MS.

Hours later she was at Appetizers Restaurant in Pearl, MS giving one-on-one advice about financial situations---and was even interviewed by Berlinda White aka Love of the radio/web show Naked Conversations.

Bestselling author Roy Glenn's Trip To Mississippi: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Thanks to everyone who made bestselling author Roy Glenn's first trip to Mississippi a success on Saturday, August 7, 2010.

Conversations Book Club President Cyrus Webb was proud to be a small part of the visit as the author celebrated the release of his 11th full-length novel COMMIT TO VIOLENCE.

The day began at Books-A-Million in Jackson, MS where Roy signed books and talked to passersby about his career and what's next for him.

From there it was on to Barnes and Noble in Ridgeland, MS where he was also treated to some great conversation and interest in his latest book.

Finally the day ended at Appetizers Restaurant in Pearl, MS with members of Conversations Book Club where he talked about his overall journey as an author, answered questions and signed copies of his previous work.

For those in the Jackson, MS area, there are still signed copies of COMMIT TO VIOLENCE available at Books-A-Million. To get other books from the author, visit www.royglenn.net.

THE SKINNY ON SERIES: Conversations Literary Selection For August 2010

Since its inception in November 2006, Conversations Book Club has been committed to providing readers with the very best selections to add to their reading list. For the first time, however, the August 2010 recommendation is not one book but a series: THE SKINNY SERIES.

Why the change in its normal book of the month selection? Conversations Book Club President Cyrus Webb explains. "There were just too many great books in the series to choose just one," he says. "I knew for the month of August I wanted to choose a book that readers could not only benefit from but that would also fit the summer theme of being a quick, easy read. With THE SKINNY ON series you get all of that plus valuable information that can be applied, shared and revisited when needed."

Created by Jim Randel, the series covers a wide spectrum of subjects, each designed to be entertaining yet informative. In April 2010, Webb got a chance to talk with Randel about the series on Conversations LIVE Radio (listen to the interview here:

Not only will the series be featured on www.thebestbookclub.info, www.authorstaketen.com and www.conversationsliveradio.com during the entire month, Webb and Randel will host a 4-part discussion about some of the topics that THE SKINNY ON addresses. This will take place on Conversations LIVE beginning Mon. August 16th @ 1:30p.m. EST (see http://conversationslive.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-16-19-2010-conversations-live.html for details).
