The Write Stuff Auditions in Atlanta, GA: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

On Friday, January 16, 2009 supporters of The Write Stuff reality show converged on Atlanta, GA for the beginning of the weekends events. First was the meet and greet that allowed those interested in the project to meet the judges as well as get to know more about what the show hoped to accomplish.
Many of the judges met for the first time and were able to get to know each other better.

On Saturday, January 17, 2009 the auditions for The Write Stuff were held in Atlanta, GA.

Out of the pack came the following contenders:
CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: Dr. M. F. (Atlanta, GA)
CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: David Dickson (Newton, NC)
CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: Carla Strozier (College Park, GA)

CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: Darrell Bruner (Atlanta, GA)

Two contestants showed great promise and much go through another challenge to see if they will be eligible for Season One of The Write Stuff (see below):
Lauretta Ali (Stone Mountain, GA)

Monique Williams (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Aside from the auditions, The Write Stuff also collected over $200 in books that will be donated to a local library or organization in the Atlanta area. The presentation will be done on behalf of The Write Stuff by author/judge Diane Dorce'.

and J. L. King.) To date, over $600 in books have been donated by supporters of The Write Stuff. Our goal is $5,000 in book donations by the end of the season.
