Thank you to everyone who joined Conversations Book Club President Cyrus A. Webb in celebrating "2007: A year of Words" on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Richard Wright Library in Jackson, MS. For those who weren't able to attend, the panelists (Hiphop artist Jokah the General, Minister/Author Voncele Savage, Missionary Diane Johnston, Physician/Author Darden North and School Principal Cheryl Haynes) did an amazing job covering issues of race, politically correct language, the subjects of abuse and suicide and entertainment.

A special thanks goes out to librarian Debra Gilbert for helping us to host this event---and there is already talk about future discussions like this one being held every quarter.

Conversations Book Club has committed itself to encouraging reading and discussion---and what happened during the forum accomplished both objectives.
